Festive White Russians to try for Christmas and beyond

Did you know that the White Russian is actually coming from, the less famous, Black Russian. It is just the traditional Black Russian with the addition of some cream.

That’s an interesting fact I only just learned but actually, I was surprised, that this drink is not even Russian after all, the name just comes from the main alcohol, the Vodka, in it.

Well honestly I don’t care if it’s Russian or not, the Dude at The Big Lebowski likes it, so it must be cool. Right? Haha no seriously, it’s not the most sophisticated cocktail but there are many tasty variants of this cocktail around.

On the other hand, I just love everything creamy, as you may guess since I come up with different boozy milkshakes all the time, just like this Spiced Rum & Pumpkin Spice Milk Shake.

The other day we have been in Berlin and a good friend had a White Russian with nice winter spices and I made a quick note to myself, that I try out different versions of White Russians to come up with the most Christmas like White Russian versions.

So here they are. If you don’t do well with cream you can always try the black Russian version or what also works very well, especially with some of the spices, is using coconut cream.
